Collin Underwood - Physical Education Teacher

I am excited about entering my sixth year as the Physical Education teacher at Jury Elementary School. Over the years, I have been fortunate to work with a wonderful community of students and staff, and it’s been an incredible journey, helping students grow physically, socially, and emotionally through active learning. I hold a bachelor's degree in Physical Education, along with a master's degree in Educational Leadership, which has given me the tools to not only teach but also lead and inspire my students toward lifelong health and fitness.

My teaching philosophy centers around inclusivity, ensuring that every student feels welcomed, valued, and excited to participate in a variety of sports and activities. Whether we’re learning new skills, building teamwork, or simply having fun, I strive to create an environment where students can thrive and discover the joys of staying active.

When I’m not at school, I love spending quality time with my amazing family. My wife, Maddi, and I have a two-year-old son, Hudson, who keeps us on our toes, along with our two dogs, Dingo and Kermit.  I'm also a passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan and love cheering them on during football season!
