Counselor Message:

Maya Angelou: “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

I seek to develop and maintain relationships with local vendors and educational partners and build parent engagement with regular parent/family meetings and gatherings focusing on students and family needs and concerns. I also host Showcase extravaganzas highlighting and celebrating student work for parents, community members and all stakeholders. In addition, I facilitate outside field trips for students to learn from real life settings and expose students to various career and post-secondary options. 

Biography:

I am a St. Louis native with 21 years as a Middle School counselor in Hazelwood. I am also an LPC-Licensed professional Counselor, a NCC- Nationally Certified Counselor, a member of Wm L. Clay Scholarship and Research Fund, a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., a member of Lane Tabernacle CME Church, a wife, mother, a political junkie and a lover of 80’s music.
